Quite simply, this product is a spatula that helps you retrieve the remaining beauty product from the bottom of the container. It can be used in a foundation, lotion, or any other receptacle that has beauty product stuck in the bottom. It has a rubberized tip that is flexible and can fit into the mouth of most containers, no matter how narrow. Because it's not a q-tip, it won't absorb liquid so you can truly get every drop out of the product, rather than having the retrieval method waste even more product.
When I first wanted to try this out, I couldn't think of what I'd use this for. Then it occurred to me that I had a nearly full bottle of Novena's lotion that I love. The pump disconnected inside the bottle so I've been unable to use it. I was going to contact the company to see what they could do for me, and never got around to it. I had been slapping the bottle in the palm of my hand hoping to force some of the lotion out, and never got very far with it. Once I tried the Beauty Spatula it's a different story: now I can reach into the bottom of the lotion bottle!
I think I will also use this on my pump top foundation bottles once they are on empty. I think I can get at least a week or two more use out of them if I can scrape the bottom with this bad boy!
